Program Description

This program is a sequence of postgraduate courses for veterinarians, physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and veterinary technicians or students of these professions, followed by a supervised clinical experience and a cumulative examination.  The courses are designed to guide the practitioner through the theoretical foundations to the clinical applications of canine rehabilitation.  This program begins with separate curricula for veterinary and physical therapy professionals and ends with these professions joining together for their final courses to best meet the needs of the participants.



Pre-requisites

This program is open to the following:
  • Veterinarians
  • Physical Therapists
  • Physical Therapist Assistants
  • Veterinary Technicians*
  • Students in one of the accepted professions**
Proof of degree(s) and/or license(s) must be provided (unless otherwise stated).

*If your state does not require a license or certificate than a letter signed by your supervising licensed veteranarian must accompany your initial registration.  This letter must state that your state does not require veterinary technicians to have a degree and/or be licensed/certified in the state in which you work, that you work in the capacity of a veterinary technician and it must list your primary duties.

**Proof of acceptance and documentation showing current enrollment in a qualified program must be provided with your initial registration.  You may be asked to provide continued proof of active enrollment.  You must complete one academic year of your professional program prior to enrolling in this program. Successful completion of your degree is required prior to taking the certificate exam.

***Veterinarians are not required to take Canine I, instead begin with Canine II VET.
