Veterinary Technician

The posting for Veterinary Technician (Rehabilitation Program) at the Alta Vista Animal Hospital in Ottawa, ON, Canada is a one year, full-time contract.  Compensation is commensurate with years of experience and skill level.  CCRP or CCRT training must be completed and the successful candidate must have at least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician.  In an environment staffed with three board certified surgeons, including one CCRP program trained surgeon, this position is responsible for the handling and caring of animals undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.  This position will require you to administer treatment according to the specified and individualized rehabilitation program for each pet as well as being involved in the development of post-operative rehabilitation protocols for all surgical patients.

CCRP needed for a position at a private small animal veterinary rehabilitation facility in Massachusetts.  With 10 years of rehabilitation practice, our facility provides a unique opportunity for applicants to work closely with our experienced veterinary staff who concentrate in pain management and compassionate treatment.  The practice offers hydrotherapy and is equipped with an underwater treadmill as well as a lap pool.  Applicants will be expected to perform therapeutic massage, ultrasound therapy, neuromuscular electrical stimulation and laser therapy in addition to exercises both in and out of the water.  Qualified applicants must be well organized, have excellent client patient communication skills, and a positive attitude.  Applicants must also work well independently and have good problem solving skills.  This is a part-time position of 20-30 hours per week.

Canine rehabilitation facility seeks registered vet tech interested in rehab and swim therapy for dogs. Must be comfortable working with disabled animals, able to take heart rate, respiration rate, lift very heavy animals, able to perform CPR, and full of good common sense.
